Belatedly given a cinema release after being shown on BBC Three last year, this entertaining documentary follows the former Wham! Frontman's life story, from his early life through to his time in the chart-conquering duo, his subsequent solo career and, in more recent years, his troubled personal life. As music documentaries go, it's pretty standard stuff, but there's a decent array of talking heads featured here, from Wham! Backing singers Pepsi and Shirlie and Michael's best mate David Austin through to Simon Cowell, Mariah Carey and Elton John.
What's more, Michael himself comes across as a thoroughly decent bloke who's not afraid to talk candidly about coming to terms with hissexuality, the death of his mother and that headline-grabbing toilet incident.
