Original Title:

Game Plan, The

Egotistical NFL star Joe Kingman (Johnson) discovers he has an eight year-old daughter, a product of a final fling with his ex-wife. What ensues is boringly predictable, as is the strict adherence to a Kindergarten Cop-esque formula.

This just about skates by on The Rock’s immense likeability and smackdown charisma, but suffers from a wearying performance from Madison Pettis, who charts an - at best - uncertain course between endearing and thoroughly obnoxious.

And what is it we’re supposed to find so adorable about little children spouting dialogue that would test the capabilities of the average Radio 4 pundit? It’s creepy. Just stop it, already.

Even The Rock's immense charisma cannot save this predicatable fare.
