Original Title:

Gallows, The

Four high-school students, two jocks, a cheerleader and a drama queen, are trapped overnight in a theatre and bothered by the ghost of a former student who was accidentally killed during a performance of a play which is being unwisely revived. This found-footage horror has a great setting and a decent premise, but the kids are variously hard or impossible to empathise with and the format of everything being filmed on phones distracts from the build-up of suspense. Plot lapses and found-footage contrivances keep breaking the spell, though the film does have decent scares and good atmosphere.

Another found footage horror that ends up losing the plot.
