A retired bookseller helps a part-time florist rejuvenate some neglected Brooklyn ladies in this sincere if enervatingly chauvinist dramedy that nails the mood of its locale (particularly its Jewish quarter) and is knowingly played by Woody Allen and John Turturro.
Fading Gigolo Review
To earn some cash, hard-up ex-bookshop owner Murray (Allen) plays pimp to his friend (Turturro), a florist with a surprising way with the ladies. At the negotiation table are a dermatologist (Stone) and her friend (Vergara), but it's Vanessa Paradis' Hasidic widow Avigal who catches his eye.
