Original Title:

Are We Done Yet?

If the teenage Ice Cube had foreseen that the journey Straight Outta Compton would have led him to this drivel, he may not have been in such a hurry to get out. Quite how the man who once implored us to Fuck Tha Police — and who briefly shone in early film outings Boyz N The Hood and Barbershop — decided a witless family comedy about a bloke whose new house is falling down was the way to go is a mystery.

As for the genius who thought 2005’s Are We There Yet? needed a sequel, give him a pay rise. Without Scrubs’ John McGinley, the sole provider of any type of comedic touch, the corners of your mouth would be turning up less than this house’s peeling wallpaper. Are we done yet? Oh yes.

Even John C McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scrubs) can't save this lamest of comedies.
