Original Title:

Carry On Abroad

Set in a half-finished hotel in the Mediterranean island resort of Elsbels, a holidaying couple contend with incompetence and innuendo.

Sample "joke": Kenneth Connor (to Sid James on holiday-bound coach): "You wouldn't happen to have a spare bottle of bromide, would you? You see, the jogging of the coach excites my wife." Sid James: "Haw haw!"

Everyone, as usual, ends up in the wrong bedroom, whilst Kenneth Williams is at the centre when his hotel, the dialogue and and hint of sexual tension, comes crumbling around him. As predictable and devoid of variation as a cheap pacjage holiday.

Happy to feed from the scraps of other Carry On's, rather than manipulating the foreign context.
