Taking over Matthew Perry's apparently enviable position, struggling photographer Russell Crowe is caught up with school teacher Salma Hayek in a can't-live-with-each-other, can't-stop-shagging scenario that sees the couple continually breaking and making up, usually done with as much noise and physical exertion as possible. Charm and appeal is crucial when you're spending 90 minutes with just two characters, and while Crowe and Hayek certainly have the looks, their shouty, incessant bickering and pseudo-realistic examination of what a modern love affair entails erodes any sympathy going, and will probably leave you wanting to break the telly.
