Original Title:

Book of Love

Soon to be divorced Michael McKean looks through his high school yearbook and remembers the 1950s when (played by Chris Young) he tried desperately to be cool, got drunk, threw parties which trashed his parents' house, drove a lethal car, hung out with similarly geeky misfits, and wasted so much time trying to get off with the prom queen he nearly missed out on the one girl who was exactly right for him. With the regulation Golden Oldie soundtrack, a mix of the expected crassness and some genuinely weird humour, this is hard to dislike, although it has nothing new to offer.
