What kind of a world is it when one film distributor gives theatrical releases to Men At Work and Highlander 2, but dumps this outstanding thriller on the direct-to-video market?

Eric Roberts, in his best-ever role, is a comic book artist whose lunch-hour flirtation with a pretty girl is cut short when she collapses and is taken away by a mysterious ambulance that is prowling the city abducting diabetics. In true Hitchcock style — and with the aid of eccentric cops James Earl Jones and Megan Gallagher, and old-fashioned newsman Red Buttons — Roberts investigates the disappearance, and the ordinary world turns nightmarish.

Writer-director Larry Cohen turns out a seamless thriller with superb thrills, making this the best rental premiere movie of all-time.
