An Inconvenient Truth pulled off the tricky double of informing and entertaining, and this documentary should be similar - wider-ranging (pollution as well as global warming) and, with Leonardo DiCaprio replacing Al Gore, better-looking.
Sadly, it’s too scattershot to land its punches. Where Gore built his conclusions piece-by-piece, making his points harder to debunk, this is filled with sweeping statements. What’s more, the final claims that high-tech solutions can solve the problem if only we would use them feels over-optimistic. Still, as another environmental kick up the backside, it’s scary enough to prod us along.
