Did you see? Apple is bringing out the next iPhone! It’ll be shinier and faster and better and IT’LL END HUMAN LIFE AS WE KNOW IT. Perhaps we’re just getting paranoid, but the increasing number of stories about robot uprisings make us think the universe is trying to warn us about our technology-dependence. Zombieland** scripting dup Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are jumping on the techno fear bandwagon, selling spec Epsilon to Sony.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Epsilon takes place after a robotic revolution was barely thwarted by mankind, and Earth is now almost totally free of electronics.

But the remaining robots escaped to a space station and, using, captured humans, begin to train agents to take down our defences. Our hero is a man who discovers his humanity once again.

If this makes it through development, the new film will be competing with the likes of Steven Spielberg’s Robopocalypse and the adaptation of Daniel H Wilson’s other 'bot book, How To Survive A Robot Uprising. Is there room so many rampaging robots? Or will the movies battle to the death? [[Poll791]]
