Renee Zellweger has signed up for new comedy My One and Only, based on a childhood adventure of actor and keen tanner George Hamilton. Which is a little curious.
The film, set in the 1950s, will see Zellweger as the glamorous Anne Deveraux as she makes a roadtrip down America's Eastern seaboard in search of a man to pay for a new life for her and her two sons. It is all apparently based on a story that Hamilton told interview Merv Griffin. Richard Loncraine will direct from a script by Charlie Peters.
Movies are now being made based on interview anecdotes? Well, we didn't see that one coming.
