Though he's been hard at work on Justice League, Zack Snyder has occasionally been offering Twitter-posted dispatches from the set. Snyder's latest missive is a first look at Ben Affleck's Batman in a new, Tactical Batsuit. Check it out above.
Despite the darker, solemn picture worryingly inviting the same sort of memes that were sparked by the first picture of Affleck in his suit for Batman V Superman, hopes have been raised that Justice League will represent a lighter tone despite the high stakes involved. Indeed, the first look at footage screened as part of this year's San Diego Comic-Con panel indicated that very idea.
The new movie finds Affleck's Bruce Wayne and Gal Gadot's Diana Prince/Wonder Woman recruiting other primary members of the Justice League, including The Flash, better known as Barry Allen (Ezra Miller, Arthur "Aquaman" Curry, played by Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher's Victor Stone, augmented to become Cyborg. They're going to need all the help they can get, especially since there's an intergalactic threat on the way. And, for now, at least, Henry Cavill's Superman is presumed dead by the wider world.
Justice League arrives on UK shores on November 17 next year.
