But one day Zac Efron said, “I want to be a real boy and star in movies for grown-ups and be taken seriously as a proper actor!” And so he signed on to topline an untitled thriller from Mandate Pictures, about which little is known other than it’s written by Leslie Dixon, who wrote Hairspray, one of the movies in which Zac Efron sang and danced with his rosy cheeks and his dimpled chin.
And even though Disneyo wanted to keep Zac Efron at home, where all the children could love him forever, he knew in his heart of hearts that he had to let his creation go into the big bad world and make his own decisions, which equated to an executive producing role on the movie.
And, despite the fact that there was no director yet attached to the movie, and it was very early days, Zac Efron smiled a big, toothy smile, for he knew that they were all going to live happily ever after…
