Based on real-life events (and chronicled in the eponymous book), the story introduces us to raucous brothers Mike (Adam DeVine) and Dave (Zac Efron) Stangle, who have developed a reputation for causing chaos at various events, especially nuptials. So when their sister Jeanie (Sugar Lyn Beard) announces she's getting hitched, they're cautioned that they'll have to find dates in the hopes that that will temper down their behaviour.
The brothers earnestly agree to find dates, though secretly plot to locate women that their family will find acceptable so that they can still party. They just don't quite count on the seemingly perfect Alice (Anna Kendrick) and Tatiana (Aubrey Plaza) turning out to be crazier than they could ever hope to be. Cue lots of f-bombs, pot-smoking and a quad bike session that does not go well for Jeanie, all set against a background of lush Hawaiian scenery.
Directed by Jake Szymanski from a script by Bad Neighbours duo Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O'Brien, the film will out in the UK on August 10.
