Disney's push to bring all of its animated canon into the live-action arena continues with Lady And The Tramp one of the latest examples. The cast is growing again, as Yvette Nicole Brown snagging the role of Aunt Sarah.
Director Charlie Bean is overseeing the revised, live-action-meets-CGI take on the 1955 'toon, which saw a pampered cocker spaniel fall for a street smart mutt named Tramp.
Tessa Thompson is on as Lady, with Justin Theroux aboard to voice Tramp and Ashley Jensen playing Jackie, a gender-swapped version of Scottish Terrier Jock. Kiersey Clemons is Lady's owner Darling, with Thomas Mann as her husband Jim Dear.
Brown's character will be a version of the haughty, cat-preferring original aunt, who takes a dislike to Lady while looking after the family's newborn child. When her Siamese cats, Si and Am, conspire to frame Lady for attacking them and wrecking rooms in the house, Sarah takes the dog to be muzzled at a pet shop, leading to Lady fleeing and meeting Tramp.
The new movie is taking aim at Disney's streaming service, launching next year.
