Yet More Cast For Piranha 3DD

If you were worried that the sequel to last year's Piranha 3D was simply going to be filled with little-known fish-bait actors, fret no longer. The burgeoning cast for Piranha 3DD now includes returnees Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames and Paul Scheer.

Excellent, and amusing, news all round. Christopher Lloyd was one of the canniest pieces of casting last time, on-hand purely to deliver ridiculous exposition in as Doc Brown a stylee as he could muster.

Paul Scheer simply disappeared from Piranha 3D with no explanation. He blogged several possible reasons for this last summer, which included excellent swimming, secretly being a piranha the whole time, time travel and being left on the cutting room floor because CGI death scenes are expensive. We wonder which of those is the truth?

And best of all, we have Ving Rhames, who was last seen standing in a sea of gore in the middle of thousands of hungry piranha, being eaten alive, taking as many as he could with him via the use of an outboard motor. "You didn't see me die," says Rhames. That is technically true.

As previously reported, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Meagan Tandy and Adrian Martinez are also on hand, with John Gulager directing. Piranha 3DD swims into cinemas on November 25.
