The TV pilot for Y: The Last Man is already fairly loaded with people, but the show has hired one more. Amber Tamblyn will play the president's daughter in the comicbook adaptation.

Created in comics form by Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra, Y focuses on Yorick (Barry Keoghan), an amateur escape artist who has become the lone male human survivor after a mysterious plague killed off everyone else with a Y chromosome — including all male animals. Except, that is, for his pet capuchin monkey, Ampersand, who follows him around.

Now living in a world entirely filled with women, Yorick heads out on a mission to discover why the tragedy befell the world and to look for his girlfriend Beth (Julianna Canfield), who he last heard was halfway across the world in Australia.

Tamblyn joins a cast that also includes Diane Lane, Imogen Poots, Lashana Lynch and Marin Ireland. Blade Runner 2049 and American Gods' Michael Green is producing the potential show alongside Luke Cage's Aïda Mashaka Croal for US TV network FX. With luck, it could finally be out next year.
