Could Gillian Anderson be the next US star to make her bid for success on the London stage? In an interview with The Observer this weekend, Anderson revealed that she's currently in talks about doing theatre work in Britain and looks 'certain' to hit the London stage in the near future. What's more, the actress who spent part of her childhood in North London now plans to live part-time in this country. Anderson, who is doing the publicity rounds at the moment for her latest film The House of Mirth (for the trailer, click here), also clears up rumours on whether she's remaining or leaving The X-Files. 'I was actually on contract for this year and I originally had fantasised that I could get out of it,' she tells the paper, 'but that wasn't the case.' It doesn't seem like such a hardship though, as Gillian appears happy about the direction the series is taking; 'There is the introduction of a new character (Robert Patrick) and a new enthusiasm.' Anderson also told the newspaper that the new series would reveal to fans how Scully became pregnant.
