With Hayley Atwell's Agent Carter making the move to Los Angeles for the second season of her eponymous show, you might expect her to be crossing paths with some new faces. And now we know who will be playing some of them, as Wynn Everett, Lotte Verbeek, Currie Graham and Reggie Austin are all signed for the next series.

Team Carter – when they’re not busy competing in Dubsmash Wars with the S.H.I.E.L.D. gang – is back shooting the new season, with word that Dominic Cooper is back as Howard Stark, James D’Arcy continuing to play loyal butler Edwin Jarvis, Bridget Reagan returning as assassin Dottie Underwood and Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray on duty as Carter’s fellow SSR agents Sousa and Thompson.

But it’s the new arrivals who are provoking the interest, with Everett signed as Hollywood star and inventor Whitney Frost, a character from the comics also known as Madame Masque. Verbeek is Ana Jarvis, the talked-about, but hitherto unseen wife of Edwin, who will be a driving force in the new series and helps Peggy adapt to life in her new city. Graham will be Calvin Chadwick, Whitney’s wife, and Reggie Austin is playing charismatic scientist Jason Wilkes, who charms Peggy.

“Whitney Frost is a character with a storied history in the Marvel comics, and we’re excited to get the opportunity to introduce her to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” say the show’s producers in a statement. “Inspired by Hollywood icons like Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, we knew we needed an actor who was classically glamorous and fiercely intelligent. Wynn is both, and we’re thrilled to watch her bring this formidable character to life.”

The show will return to screens during S.H.I.E.L.D.’s hiatus scheduled once again for this winter.
