The reactions are already starting to come in and, with luck, Wonder Woman 1984 will be available to watch in open cinemas in a little more than a week. Warner Bros. has released a final trailer for the superhero movie.
With Patty Jenkins back in the director's chair, the '80s-set adventure finds Gal Gadot's Diana Prince dealing with the dastardly machinations of villains such as Kristen Wiig's Cheetah and Pedro Pascal's Max Lord.
Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is back (despite, you know, appearing to die in the first film), plus we'll flash back to Diana's youth to re-visit Robin Wright's Antiope and Connie Nielsen's Hippolyta.
Wonder Woman 1984 finally arrives here on cinema screens on 16 December. Stateside audiences will have to wait until 25 December, when the movie will open in whatever cinemas are open and on streaming service HBO Max.
