After a few years sneaking around the halls of development, Tom Clancy adaptation Without Remorse finally emerged into a more positive zone with word in September that Michael B. Jordan would play John Clark. According to Variety, Paramount has Sicario 2's Stefano Sollima in talks to direct.

The studio is looking to launch a new franchise will the Clark series, throwing both Remorse and Rainbow Six into development, both featuring the character. Clark, AKA John Terrence Kelly, is an ex-Navy Seal-turned-operations officer for the CIA who appears in 17 Clancy novels starting with 1988’s The Cardinal Of The Kremlin. Though mainly seen as a secondary character who helps Jack Ryan with the physical elements of any mission, Clark finally stepped into the spotlight with Remorse, which showed how he came to work for the agency.

Akiva Goldsman is spearheading the endeavour as a producer, and the next step will be to nail down scripts. Sollima, also known for crime series Gomorra, has created another show called ZeroZeroZero, about drug smuggling in Europe, and is attached to make an adaptation of video game Call Of Duty.
