Monday sees the special London charity screening of cult classic Withnail and I, which the film's star **Richard E Grant **has put together in order to raise badly needed funds for his Swaziland alma mater, the Waterford School. But after the sold-out show - complete with plenty of booze - there's is a treat indeed for committed Withnail fans, as long as they've got a few quid in the bank. Christie's host an auction of Withnail memorabilia at the Odeon West End, complete with the very coat worn by Grant in the film. A sweeping garment made of Harris tweed by costume designer Andrea Galer, the coat has proved one of the most requested items from the film - but it has not been sold until now. Explaining it's conception to today's issue of the Guardian, Galer says, "Withnail needed to look decadent. It's a coat that has a life." Fans who miss out on acquiring the item can still emulate Withnail however, as Galer now makes replicas for both men and women (see picture). For more details click on www.andreagaler.co.uk - 10 per cent of the Withnail collection also goes to the Waterford School.
