Winston Duke

Continuing to see success after his breakout role in Black Panther (and, briefly, in Infinity War), Winston Duke has landed another role. He'll play one of the leads in Heroine.

While it might seem odd to have a male actor starring in a film with that title, it'll actually be a story shared between his character and a mother and domestic abuse survivor who moves into a new neighbourhood. Looking to put her traumatic past behind her, she soon suspects that her new neighbour might actually be a dark and dangerous criminal. Duke is set to play the neighbour, a tragic-seeming man who has a lot more to him than first appears. Dan Casey, one of the writers behind incoming sci-fi pic Kin, cooked up the script for this one and will step into the director's chair, looking to start filming next year.

As for Duke, he'll next be seen in Jordan Peele's Us and is attached to star in a biopic of MMA pro Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson called Backyard Legend.
