Following on from last week's exciting news that the long-awaited third outing for Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted "Theodore" Logan (AKA Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves),Bill & Ted Face The Music is actually, really happening, there's more to announce about the movie. William Sadler is aboard to reprise his Grim Reaper role from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

The new movie, written by original creators Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, has Dean Parisot in the director's seat. And we sort of know what will happen in it, too, as per the synopsis: "Following 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and 1991's Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for Bill and Ted. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends."

We're promised that while George Carlin can't appear for obvious, mortal reasons as time travelling mentor Rufus, he will be referenced and honoured in the new movie. Bill & Ted Face The Music will be out next summer.

Cue cries of, "you haff sunk my battleship!"
