Willem Dafoe is on the verge of signing up for the starring role in Scanbox Danmark's Bullfighter. Dafoe - next to be seen in the movies Affliction and Lulu on the Bridge - will play a mystical warrior-priest in the millennial comedy about sex, guns and God. Bullfighter marks the directorial debut of Danish-born Rune Bendixen, leader of the Technomusic band the Overlords. Bendixen penned the screenplay. Other appearances likely to be made in the pic will comes from Michael Parks, Jared Harris, Domenica Cameron-Scorsese and Alexander Kolpin. A principal dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet, Kolpin will make his acting debut in Bullfighter, which will also feature cameos by filmmakers Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn) and Guillermo del Toro (Mimic).
