You know what they say, where there's a Will there's a Bay! After the rampant box office success of Bad Boys: Ride Or Die this summer, it looks like Will Smith is ready to leave the mayhem of *that* Oscars moment in 2022 behind and get back to basics with some good old-fashioned Bayhem. Per Deadline's reporting, Smith's OG Bad Boys director — and all-round action legend — Michael Bay is in final negotiations to direct Netflix actioner Fast And Loose, and he's primed to bring his most bankable star with him.
According to Deadline, the plot of the movie — which has been written by Jon and Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson — revolves around a man who wakes up in Tijuana having lost his memory. The wrinkle? As he starts to fill in the blanks in his life, he learns he’s led a double-life: one as a criminal lynchpin, and the other as an undercover CIA agent. Given that Smith has apparently been working to get Fast And Loose off the ground for some time now, it would stand to reason that the Men In Black actor is lining himself up to be the amnesiac with feet on both sides of the legal fence. Adding a little more spice to this already pretty hot action prospect, 87North duo Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (The Fall Guy) are aboard to produce this one, too — so expect the stunts to be off the chain!
We know nothing else about this one just yet, though we'll update you just as soon as we hear more. Nevertheless, after the wild ride that was Bay's Ambulance back in 2022 — and with Smith back at his charismatic best in the most recent Bad Boys joint — you can guarantee we'll be ready to get Fast And Loose if and indeed when it finds its way to our screens. Anyone got any Tropical Fruit Bubblicious and some Skittles?
