Will Ferrell might have stumbled with Land Of The Lost (box office-wise, at least; there are still those of us at Empire Towers and its satellite offices who love the movie), but he's still plugging away. According to the team over at Pajiba, now that cop comedy **The Other Guys **is done shooting, he's busy developing a new romantic comedy.
Because Hollywood still has yet to fill out its quota of remakes, the project is based on a French comedy called I Do: How To Get Married And Stay Single.
Originated by actor/producer/writer Alain Chabat, I Do revolves around a 40-something bachelor who enjoys his fancy-free ways until his mother and seven sisters gang up to try to get him married. Aiming to squirm out of the responsibility, he asks a friend's sister to agree to marry him, but to leave him standing at the altar so everyone backs off.
Hilarity, they hope, ensues.
There's no word on when, or even if, it will go ahead as there's not even a writer attached yet. And it'll have to get in line behind the other projects Ferrell has cooking, including the Sherlock Holmes comedy and (closes eyes, crosses fingers) Anchorman 2.
