Vince Gilligan – best known as one of the writing/producing team on The X-Files – has been hired to rewrite Fly On The Wall for Universal.
Like most of the comedy projects circulating in Hollywood, this is linked to Will Ferrell, with the idea that he’ll star as an anti-social man who rediscovers how to live a successful life thanks to his best mate. Sounds like a pretty usual film until you learn that that friend is a talking fly.
Gilligan has become quite the script doctor, having worked on Tonight, He Comes and producing the draft that attracted star Will Smith. Perhaps he’ll get Ferrell trapped with his Fly paper. Ahem. Work with us, folks...
