Spike Jonze's adaptation of Maurice Sendak's much-loved children's tale Where the Wild Things Are has, like the book's pajama-clad hero Max, made a long, windy, if slightly less storm-tossed journey to the big screen. The end is in sight though and to keep our cockles warm until its Christmas release, Warner Bros. have released a short making-of style featurette.
Click here to watch the featurette on Apple which has Jonze, Sendak and screenwriter Dave Eggers discussing their collaboration, and a few more sneak-peeks at the movie itself. Fans of the book will find Sendak's seal of approval of the director's vision especially reassuring. "Spike has turned it into his [version] without giving up mine. I've never seen a movie that looked or felt like this." Colour us excited...
**Where The Wild Things Are **is out in the UK on December 11.
