This time he’s heading into ripping crime thriller territory, adapting a Lynda La Plante ITV drama with a new screenplay from Gone Girl’s Gillian Flynn. The titular widows are four women — Elizabeth Debicki’s Alice, Viola Davis’ Veronica, Cynthia Erivo’s Belle, and Michelle Rodriguez’s Linda — whose criminal husbands all die in a job-gone-wrong.
