A Whole New Craven

There are some things in this life that one is sure of. The sun rising in the East, for example, or grass being green, or Wes Craven making horror films. Imagine our shock, therefore, to learn that the man behind Scream and A Nightmare on Elm Street is producing a rom com. That's right, a romantic comedy - and as far as we can tell, it doesn't even have any zombies in it! Whole New You is the story of a world famous actress who escapes her overexposed Hollywood life for the quieter pleasures of a remote Midwestern town. There for the first time she is unrecognised, and even enters her own look-alike contest at the town fair. Will she win? Will she be recognised? Will a crazy axe murderer chop her limb from limb? Only time will tell. For those whose existence has been rocked by this news, you may take some comfort in the fact that Craven is currently only producing and has not said that he will direct. What's more, the Scream King is currently filming Cursed, a werewolf movie with Christina Ricci and Shannon Elizabeth. So maybe all's right in the world after all.
