Though the show is due to present its big Comic-Con panel in Hall H later today, there was news to come out of Westworld before any of the cast and crew saw the inside of the cavernous space. Neil Jackson and Jonathan Tucker are joining the series.

While you wouldn't expect to learn much of anything about their roles given how secretive the Westworld team tends to be, we do know that Jackson is on to play the charming, resourceful Nicholas, who finds himself in uncharted territory. Tucker, meanwhile, has snagged a part as Major Craddock, a dedicated military officer. Whether they will be guests or hosts in the park has yet to be revealed.

They join fellow new arrival Katja Herbers and veterans Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum, who were recently promoted to regulars. The likes of Evan Rachel Wood and Tessa Thompson will be back for the second season of the show, which will follow on from the climactic host uprising that closed out the first. We'll likely learn more – but not all – when creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy take the stage with some of their stars at the panel. Empire will be there with its six-gun strapped to its hip. Even it might only be a water pistol...
