Eight years after Fantastic Mr. Fox, Wes Anderson has returned to the world of beautifully composed stop-motion for his new movie, Isle Of Dogs. The trailer is now available...

Dogs is set 20 years in the future, and sees Japan facing a serious overcrowding problem... From canines. The corrupt mayor of Megasaki City, Kobayashi, orders that all the pooch pets are exiled to a massive rubbish dump known as Trash Island.

But while the dogs try to make the best of their situation (yet also try to work out how to get home), a young lad named Atari (Koyu Rankin) arrives, seeking his snatched bodyguard hound Spot. With the help of a new-found pack of mongrel friends, he sets off on an epic journey that will have ramifications for everyone, human or canine.

The film, which boasts a voice cast teeming with talent including Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Scarlett Johansson, Liev Schreiber, Courtney B. Vance and Ken Watanabe, will be out in the UK on 30 March next year.
