Sony has snagged the rights to comedy pitch Moon People, written by occasional Daily Show contributor Demetri Martin.
Da Ali G Show scribe/helmer James Bobin will direct and Martin will be starring in the offbeat tale of the moon’s first colonists returning to Earth and trying to assimilate back into regular life.
There’s no word on any other casting yet – and Bobin is already busy working on New Line’s comedy film Jeff The Demon, which stars Arrested Development’s Will Arnett as the titular hell beast, who helps a pair of losers with their school problems.
