Watching Paint Dry

Not content with sending movie critics into an early grave with her opening film gambit. Britney Spears today released details of another film project she's working on that sounds equally snore-inducing. Called Trading Paint, the film - which will be produced and will also co-star the pop minx - was developed especially for Spears and written by James V Hart. Hart's previous work includes Contact and the first Tomb Raider movie. Set in the world of NASCAR racing, which last graced our screens in Days of Thunder, the film - which echoes Thunder's plotline - has Britney playing the daughter of a NASCAR racing dynasty. When a driver chickens out of further races, Britney uses her powers of persuasion to get him back on track. Sounds like the kind of thing only a substantial monetary incentive would persuade us to sit through.
