Now, we don't care what anyone says, Pixar are awesome. These kids are going somewhere. If you want to get on board with this upcoming animation house before they hit the big time then click here to watch nine minutes of their new movie Ratatouille.

We had been worried about Ratatouille, since it lost director Jan Pinkava (who made the heartwarming Geri's Game) and seemed to be in a bit of a pickle. But we should always have trusted in his replacement, Incredibles director Brad Bird. With minimal dialogue these two sequences manage to set up each character perfectly and make the most exciting trip through a kitchen since Nigella Lawson first shimmied her way toward a quivering jus. The food looks real; little aspiring rat chef Remy should be completely gross because his hands are covered in dirt and pooh and he's cooking soup, but he's still completely cute and loveable; the direction is faultless. With this and The Simpsons Movie coming up it could be a banner year for animation.
