Just a few short months ago Paula Milne was enjoying watching her latest screenplay, Second Sight, premiere on BBC television. Now the British scriptwriter is up to her elbows in cash following a six figure deal with Warner Bros to bring Second Sight to the big screen. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Brad Siberling (City of Angels) is in place to direct and Milne herself will rewrite her script for the film version of the detective who is trying to track down a killer despite the fact that he's slowly going blind. The series was widely acclaimed in Britain, but given US studios' urge to rewrite heroes in the American mould it seems unlikely that the British star Clive Owen will be picked as lead man for the film version.
