Warner Brothers has hired scribe Brad Ingelsby to adapt comic Sleeper, written by Ed Brubaker.

The film, being produced by Sam Raimi, centres on an operative who's fusion with an alien artefact makes him impervious to pain and allows him to pass the ability on to others by skin contact.

Ingelsby previously wrote the script for Low Dweller, which sold in March to Relativity Media and has attracted Ridley Scott and Leonardo DiCaprio to star, reteaming after Body of Lies. Guess they're best buds now.
