This is not what you'd call massively movie-related news, but we do have good tidings for all fans of Wallace and Gromit out there, because it seems that the pair will be decorating British stamps this Christmas.

Yes, the Royal Mail, who alternate secular and religious themes as their primary collection each year, are going with the plasticene duo as their big hitters this year - and fair enough too, since their short films have brightened many a Christmas over the last decade or more. The stamps, designed with W&G creator Nick Park, show the pair opening presents, singing carols, posting cards, decorating the tree and bringing in the Christmas pudding.

Suddenly we feel like a mince pie. Darn, it's far too early. In any case, keep an eye out for these in a month or two.
