With Ratatouille practically out in the US (those darn Yanks get all the good stuff first) the tiny teaser for Wall*E is now online, and while it's not so much with the giving away of the plot, it's big with the tying it in to Pixar tradition and giving us our first good look at Wall-E himself.
The story follows the titular little robot on a ftuture Earth. His job is to clean up the polluted planet - all the humans having moved to space stations - but, one day, he gets the urge to travel himself after seeing a shiny female robot who comes to Earth on a mission.
The first half of the film is, by all accounts, practically a silent movie, with some largely non-verbal interplay between our hero and his pet cockroach, but that's no bad thing when it's Pixar doing it. This trailer shows that Wall-E does indeed look like the offspring of Johnny 5 and Toy Story's binoculars, but with the cuteness of a baby panda on top. Frankly, thank goodness we have Ratatouille to keep us going in the meantime, oe we couldn't wait.
