Warner Bros. remains committed to getting its Justice League film off the ground, and is even now running down the list of possible directors. But just as one director has taken himself out of the running, others are reportedly being considered, with the Wachowskis said to be definite candidates.
But let’s deal with who has definitely decided against the film first, shall we? That would be Ben Affleck, who talked to the Canadian press and said, “It sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on.”
As to the Wachowskis? Their possible involvement has been picked up by Moviehole, but it’s all still rumour for now. While we’re certain their names would be on Warners’ list (especially given their history with the studio and their avowed love for comic book characters), they’re not known for leaping onto other peoples’ projects, preferring to self-generate their own movies.
While the studio is apparently keen on the duo following the positive buzz for Cloud Atla****s, the Wachowskis have several other projects still in the works that could well take prominence, assuming they were even interested in dabbling with Superman and the rest.
For now, they’ll remain in the ether and the only sold detail on **Justice **is that Gangster Squad's Will Beale has been cranking out the script. But don’t let that stop you – keep suggesting possible directors to get the League flying...
