Just in case you can't wait until the first of October to find out whether the rest of the Empire readership agreed with your belief that Die Hard 3 was the best film ever made - here's an early preview of the results. It probably won't come as a total surprise that Star Wars romped home with the top accolade of Best Film - but the rest of the Top 10 holds a number of surprises - not least a relatively golden oldie making it to No.9 - Breakfast at Tiffany's. Perhaps one of the biggest shocks is that George Lucas only made it to No. 8 in the Best Director show - the gong was won, of course, by Steven Spielberg. In the awards for acting, Best Actress was scooped by Julia Roberts and Best Actor by that master of method Robert De Niro. You'll be able to see the full lists showing Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Special Effects Film etc in the November issue of Empire magazine out on the 1 October 2001.
