Poor old Angelina Jolie - this really isn't a good year for her. First her marriage to Billy Bob Thornton, the self-professed love of her life, founders and now her relationship with dad Jon Voight is at an all-time low. Voight, who spilled the beans about Jolie's recent adoption to the press, has gone public about his tiff with Angelina - professing himself deeply concerned about his daughter's mental health. Speaking to the tabloid TV show Access Hollywood, Voight told reporters that, 'I have been trying to reach my daughter, and get her help, and I have failed... I'm sorry that I haven't come forward and addressed the serious mental problems that she has spoken about so candidly to the press, but I've tried behind the scenes in every way, you can be sure. That's been my agenda, because they're very serious symptoms of real problems, real illness.' Castigating her management for not helping her, 'I'm especially angry at this manager who has been with her and has seen everything,' Voight put out a call to Jolie's fans to let her 'know that you are there for her, that you want her to get help, and that you'll send her your love continuously in this process.' The Jolie camp, meanwhile, has been preparing its defences against Daddy's blabbing. 'We have an excellent team around her,' said Tomb Raider 2's producer, Lawrence Gordon. 'If there was a problem, we would know it.' And Angelina herself was prepared to issue a statement saying; 'I don't want to make public the reasons for my bad relationship with my father. I will only say that like every child, [brother] Jamie and I would have loved to have had a warm and loving relationship with our dad. After all these years I have determined that it is not healthy for me to be around my father, especially now that I am responsible for my own child.' And you think you've got problems?
