This could be the best Take Your Daughter To Work day ever. Or it could just be Angelina Jolie finding an interesting way to spend more time with one of her children. She’s reportedly arranged for four-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt to take a small role in Maleficent.

Jolie-Pitt will be playing Princess Aurora, a younger version of the character Elle Fanning will inhabit, fated to be cursed by Jolie’s Maleficent in the Sleeping Beauty tale.

It’s an odd move for Jolie, particularly given how protective she and Pitt are of their kids, but at least it’s a controlled environment and a fun way to let the children see what their mum does for a living. Even if she will be likely terrifying for some of it. Hell, they can afford the therapy bills.

Robert Stromberg is cranking the cameras at Pinewood with Juno Temple, Miranda Richardson, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Peter Capaldi and Kenneth Cranham also among the cast.

Maleficent is set to arrive on March 14, 2014 stateside and likely around the same time over here.
