Viola Davis is, as, she has been for several years now, a busy woman. With her day job on TV series How To Get Away With Murder taking a certain portion of time, she has to schedule movie roles around it. She's now signed on to star in Troupe Zero for Amazon Studios.

While Variety's report includes no information on the plot, the fact that Lucy Alibar is listed as scriptwriter and the presence of Todd Black as producer leads us to think this is the latest evolution of a project based on Alibar's play Christmas And Jubilee Behold The Meteor Shower, which takes place in a trailer park in Georgia, where poor kids band together with the help of their leader, a person named Christmas Flint.

We'll see if that does turn out to be this movie, but there are a few more official details, including the fact that directing duo Bert & Bertie, who have form with documentaries, animation, ads and music videos, are attached to handle the shot-calling chores.

Davis will be seen on the big screen in Steve McQueen's Widows, due for release on 9 November.
