Football hardman Vinnie Jones flew to America yesterday (8/11) to screen-test for director Ridley Scott for a major role in his forthcoming movie, Gladiator. The film, which primises to be a blood 'n' gut revenge tale set in ancient Rome, has Amistad's Djimon Hounsou and L.A. Confidential's Russell Crowe in the lead roles.
