Don't start having visions of Vincent D’Onofrio stomping around his living room making growling and roaring noises while curling his hands into claws… While it’s true that D'Onofrio’s been cast as the villain in Jurassic World, we know for a fact he’s not playing a dinosaur.

According to Deadline, director Colin Trevorrow has added D’Onofrio and The Amazing Spider-Man’s Irrfan Khan to a cast line-up that already includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and (though his appearance hasn’t been 100% confirmed) Jake Johnson.

The Wrap is reporting that D’Onofrio will be playing the Chief Financial Officer of the Patel Corporation, a man who likes to project the image of a placid family type while keeping all sorts of secrets from the others, which makes this feel like a great fit for him. Khan’s role has yet to be disclosed, but he’ll no doubt be hoping that more of his role remains in the film than it did in the first** Amazing Spider-Man**.

Trevorrow, who worked on the script with regular co-writer Derek Connolly, is set to start calling the shots this summer in Louisiana and on location in Hawaii. Though the actual story is still shrouded in rumour fog, though current speculation has it that it’ll be set years after the original with a working version of the original park suddenly suffering some lethal problems. Jurassic World will hit UK cinemas on June 12, 2015.
