Another week, another high-profile Vince Vaughn comedy gig. Following recent news of a belated Dodgeball** sequel and European vacation The Business Trip, Vaughn is now signed up as the fast-talking slacker bad guy in Will Ferrell's next vehicle, **Daddy's Home{
Stemming from Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez production company, Daddy's Home has Ferrell as a mild-mannered executive at a radio station, trying to be the world's greatest step-dad in his home life. The spanner in those works however, is Vaughn, playing the kids' freeloading biological father, who breezes back into their lives, prompting Dad Wars.
Etan Cohen, writer of Men In Black III and Tropic Thunder, is making his directorial debut here, with Ferrell and McKay producing. McKay also has screenplay credit, along with Chris Henchy, Brian Burns and Cohen himself.
Shooting starts in the autumn, and we'll next see Vaughn reunited with Owen Wilson in The Internship on July 4. He's also in The Delivery Man, which arrives in October. Ferrell and McKay meanwhile are currently hard at work on Anchorman: The Legend Continues, which we're promised on December 20.
