The Vikings Are Coming!

Grrr! Arrgh! Yes, those savage, hairy, unkempt Viking types are set to invade our screens after the news that Renny Harlin, in keeping with his Scandanavian roots, is making The Northmen, a history of those nefarious seafarers. The plot concerns two Viking brothers, heirs to their clan's throne, who both fall in love with the same captured English princess. These being big tough dudes with horns on their helmets, we're guessing that they don't sit down and talk things out over a nice cup of tea. In fact, we wouldn't be at all surprised if it didn't lead to bloodshed. However, it won't all be ye olde norse ass-whooping. Harlin is also anxious to bring out "the aspects of beauty and complexity that were so inherent to the ancient Viking society"
